Multi-tasking Reservoir

A freshwater reservoir. A flood control. A new recreational attraction.

A vision of our MM somewhat two decades ago.

A new spot to enjoy the panoramic view of CBD, the Singapore Flyer, Benjamin Sheares Bridge.

A new hotspot to watch fireworks.

Beautiful views. Beautiful seabreezes. Life’s free treats. Lovely!

Two of the gates opened. Sea water rushed into the fresh water reservoir.

Puzzled for a moment. Why letting seawater entering the reservoir? Shouldn’t the purpose be only releasing freshwater into the sea  for tide management?

The four football-size green field on the rooftop, providing an excellent space for picnic or flying a kite.

Last night we noticed some couples even came prepared with kites. However, they left with disappointment. It was fenced off as the grass patches were newly laid.
